“Our product is 100% built and run on the ethereum blockchain, providing a trustless and hackproof way of betting. We also are focusing on the streamer: instead of providing yet another bookmaking site benefiting from the bets, we are giving way for the streamer to organize the bet” – Gimli
Interview with Gimli
BitcoinChaser: What kind of problem, market deficiency or opportunity inspired you to launch your project?
Gimli: Today’s eSports betting world is plagued by scams and scandals. Viewers, who are usually very tech savvy, have no confidence in existing platforms which struggle to survive and get real traffic. On the other side, the key actors in the eSport live streaming ecosystem – the streamers – have few ways to monetize and engage their audience today. They’re not benefiting from the massive growth we’re seeing in eSports. None of the current betting platforms provide value for them.
BitcoinChaser: How will your project address this problem, market deficiency or opportunity in a unique way?
Gimli: Our product is 100% built and run on the ethereum blockchain, providing a trustless and hackproof way of betting. We also are focusing on the streamer: instead of providing yet another bookmaking site benefiting from the bets, we are giving way for the streamer to organize the bet – providing him with widgets for example. Bottom line is the streamer is the one who can benefit from a % fee from the bet, engage more with its own audience. Streamers also are part of our distribution strategy, helping us going viral because our product benefits the community.
Giving away control and financial benefits is at the center of the promise of the Web 3.0 and decentralized governance, as Vitalik Buterin have dreamed it. We like to think we’re working in that direction as opposed to other platforms.
BitcoinChaser: How do you think that competition will develop following your ICO?
Gimli: Competition may focus on providing better return products for the user, and will try to heavily dwarf us with extraordinary amounts of marketing and sponsorship. In the end their product is built for the internet of the 2000´s and to make money out of traffic. We are definitely looking forward.
BitcoinChaser: What are you planning to do with the proceeds of your ICO, and why?
Gimli: The proceeds of the ICO will go into development and distribution of our product. We will of course devote budget to getting licenses and adequate legal and corporate representation in every country we will offer our services.
BitcoinChaser: For all those who have read your white paper and are still on the fence about contributing to your ICO, what can you tell them that could lead them to buy into your project?
Gimli: Our project is backed by world famous pro gamers and streamers. They believe in the project, they see the value we will be providing to the eSports community. Gimli is something the market already wants, and the market is growing exponentially.
