WatermelonBlock (WMB): Finding and comparing unbiased, easy to understand and actionable updated information on market sentiments and insights on cryptocurrencies and ICOs is time consuming.

Whilst cryptomarket information is plentiful, finding unbiased, reliable and thorough market insights, in layperson terms, is challenging. Comparing these resources is also extremely time consuming. Many investors miss valuable opportunities due to this problem.

Markets are highly influenced by sentiment, but investors cannot reliably measure the credibility and influence of opinions. Theories of behavioral economics reiterate that investment decisions are influenced by psychological and speculative factors in the same way they are influenced by rational factors like intrinsic value and historical trends. Cryptocurrency and blockchain markets are highly influenced by online opinions in the forms of news, social media, blogs and micro sites.

More and more, investors are acting on the feedback and insights provided through new media channels, meaning that the sentiment of the market has a much stronger influence on blockchain assets compared to fiat currency assets.

WMB: Utilizing the power of blockhain and IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence, WatermelonBlock is a product that is providing investment solutions to market problems via sentiment analysis. By scanning sentiment from social and traditional media, WatermelonBlock arms investors with real-time actionable insights at the press of a button. As proud partners of IBM, WatermelonBlock makes AI and sentiment analysis accessible to investors of all different levels of experience.

WatermelonBlock evaluates the degree and volume of positive or negative sentiment. Weight is added to sentiment by social media content, posts and author influence. WatermelonBlock’s AI then creates a ranking of coins and ICOs based on an internal system unique to WatermelonBlock. This known as the Melon Score. The initial app will include token use, WMB. WatermelonBlock operates on the NEM Blockchain and partners with IBM Watson’s AI to process and analyse big data.

BC: How do you think competition will develop in this segment of the market following your ICO?

Whilst WatermelonBlock already has competitors in this space (Sentigraph, Daneel, Coin Fi), WatermelonBlock believes that a sleek yet simple user-interface, paired with cutting edge proprietary algorithms will pit WatermelonBlock as market leaders in an emerging space.
