UFC 286: Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman

The 02 Arena is live, and it will forever be embodied in the history of Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards. Will UFC 286 be the beginning of a new reign or just another pointer to add to Kamaru Usman’s argument as one of the greatest fighters that we have ever seen?

In the co-main event, the elite and technical striker Rafael Fiziev meets carnage and chaos embodied in one man, Justin Gaethje. The odds slightly lean towards the believed-to-be future contender in Rafael Fiziev, but to get that victory, he might have to survive through a very dark place which Justin Gaethje has since called home.

Usman vs Edwards: Main Event Predictions

This is one of the most anticipated rematches of this generation. Kamaru Usman was just over a minute away from a record-breaking 16th win to tie Anderson Silva. All these were thoughts that were spilt right out of The Nigerian Nightmare’s head with a head kick that sent him into the shadow realm.

Leon Edwards was the first fighter to take Kamaru Usman down and ended the first round with Usman’s back whilst trying for a rear naked choke-hold. The following three rounds after the first, Kamaru Usman showed exactly who everyone knew he was as he went on to dominate round after round.

Leon Edwards ended it in style, knocking Kamaru Usman out with what could have been considered his last hail mary. The rematch has so much in store for us, does Kamaru Usman get back to where he belonged or is this the reign of a new champion?

Our Pick: Kamaru Usman

Way of Victory: Knockout

Gaethje vs Fiziev: Co-Main Event Predictions

Justin Gaethje welcomes Rafel Fiziev to the world of Chaos, built and designed by Gaethje himself. What a beautiful match up, as far as dream fights go, this has to be on the top of the list. Justin Gaethje looks to prove his worthiness of the top position that he holds in the lightweight division whilst Fiziev looks to kick the door down.

Rafael Fiziev opened as the favourite on most betting odds. It seems that his way to victory is the same as always, the beautiful ability to strike that he possesses, and staying as smart and technical as possible.

Justin Gaethje opens as the underdog, which should not demotivate those looking to bet on him. His most likely path to victory could be him turning this fight into a warzone. He can’t give Fiziev the space he needs to orchestrate his strikes carefully. The Highlight almost always turns his fights into wars, but this is all because it all slows down for him when he is in such fights.

Our Pick: Justin Gaethje
